THE NEXT TESTING DATE IS: Saturday, July 23rd @ 8am
The success in your life and in your Taekwondo training is up to you.
Progress can be measured step by step. Set your goals and work toward achieving them. Each belt level represents a new target to aim for. It is important to learn and to master within yourself the materials and to perform with skill and intensity. By doing this, you will create a sense of accomplishment and success within yourself. Use your talents, compete only with yourself and each day strive to be better
than the day before. Only then can you become the best you can be.
Guideline of what to work on:
upper block - lower block (down) - inner block
outer block - double knife hand block
spear hand - single knife hand
sword hand - attention stance
front stance - walking stance
back stance - front kick
round house kick
side kick - middle punch
This guide is not intended to be all-inclusive. We are individuals with our own strengths;
focus should be placed on them! Accentuate the positive and build from your strengths.
IF IT IS TO BE - IT IS UP TO ME!

PROCEDURES FOR BELT PROMOTION
Belt promotion is an on going part of Taekwondo. However, testing is not an obligation. Passing the belt promotion test allows you to advance to your next
rank in Taekwondo. Testing is how you prove to yourself and others that you have mastered your current skill level.
Remember, it is important to be prompt. Report for testing at least 30 minutes prior to the start time. This will allow for check-in and warm up.
A clean, pressed uniform is required. Testing procedure is basically the same for all levels.
When testing begins you will start with demonstrating the techniques of basic punches, blocks, and kicks.
Then you will be required to do the form for the belt level you are testing for.
If your rank is yellow belt or higher you will finish by showing your newly acquired abilities through a sparring match.
All tests will be conducted at the belt level you are currently testing for.
You will be graded on technique, balance, concentration, confidence, attitude, etiquette and attendance.
